- 6 c. (3/4-inch thick) sliced okra
- 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or vegetable oil
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Fry okra (fold lightly while cooking, do not mash) until brown.

2Drain well.

3Drain tomatoes and crush.

4Place okra back into the pan.

5Pour tomatoes over top and cook about 10 minutes, stirring lightly.
