- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 3/4 tsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Mix into 1/2 cup Crisco shortening with fork or pastry cutter. Add 2/3 cup evaporated milk and 1 beaten egg.

2Pour to desired consistency.

3Blend to mixture.

4Roll out walnut sized balls of dough to make small circles of thin crust.

5Add filling in middle of each crust, then fold in half and crimp along the edges with fork to seal.

6Fry the pies in deep hot cooking oil until brown.
