- 1 c. instant rice or 1 c. regular rice (but use 1 3/4 c. liquid)
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 large heaping tsp. brown sugar
- 1 c. liquid from celery
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion (optional)
- 1/2 c. shrimp or meat, chopped (optional)
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
- any other Oriental veggies (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce (optional)
Directions

1In 2 cups water, boil celery (and any other veggies) until tender.

2Set aside liquid.

3Melt butter in frypan.

4Add sugar. Brown rice; don't burn.

5Add celery and any other veggies.

6Cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.

7Add meat/fish.

8Add soy sauce until liquid is absorbed.

9Serves 4 to 6.
