- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. milk
- 6 dates, sliced in half
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

2Stir in oats and dates.

3Add oil, egg and milk.

4Stir only until dry ingredients are moistened.

5Fill lined muffin cups 2/3 full.

6Place one date half in each muffin cup.

7Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

8Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting.

9If desired, a few drops of orange extract can be added to the frosting for extra flavor.
