  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick soft butter
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 3/4 c. cold water
  • 1/2 box seedless raisins
  • 1 c. nuts (English or black walnuts, 1/2 in cake and 1/2 on top)

Directions

    Mix together well and put in loaf pan.

    Place maraschino cherries on top of cake mix.
  3. 3
    Place half of the nuts in between cherries on top of cake before baking.
  4. 4
    Bake at 225° for 2 hours or until done.
