- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. each cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg
- 1/4 c. honey in which has been dissolved 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 box raisins
- 1/4 lb. dates, cut fine
- 3 c. mixed nuts (black walnuts, English walnuts and Brazil nuts)
- 1 c. pecans
- 2 1/4 lb. candied fruit
- 6 oz. dried figs
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

3Combine all fruits and nuts in large bowl. Sift over them some of the flour combined with spices.

4Toss to coat thoroughly.

5Add remaining flour-spice mixture to first creamed mixture alternately with honey and soda.

6Combine with fruit and nut mixture and mix thoroughly.

7Pour into greased pan. Decorate with pineapple slices and bake in 275° oven for about one and one-half hours.

8Let cool before removing from pan.

9Do not open stove door on your cake.
