Fruit Cake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans
  • 1 1/2 c. walnuts
  • 1 c. dates
  • 1/2 c. white raisins
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 slices red candied pineapple
  • 3 slices green candied pineapple
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. red candied cherries (1/2 lb.)

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add vanilla, sift dry ingredients together. Mix with chopped fruits and nuts and combine with creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoon on lightly oiled cookie sheet.

    Cook 15 minutes at 325°.

    When done, cookies should be a light brown.

    Makes about 8 dozen small cookies.

    This may need to be mixed by hand.
