- 1/2 stick butter or oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 can pie cherries or any other sweetened fruit (fresh or canned)
Directions

1Melt butter or oleo in a 9 x 9-inch baking dish or pan.

2In a bowl mix the sugar, flour, baking powder and milk; pour this over melted butter.

3Do not stir.

4Pour one can of pie cherries or any other sweetened fruit.

5Do not stir.

6Sprinkle sugar over top. Bake 1 hour in 325° oven.
