Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. fruit cocktail
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix juice with all ingredients except fruit cocktail and nuts. Mix well, then blend in fruit.

    Combine nuts with 1/2 cup of sugar and sprinkle on top.

    Bake at 350° in a 9 x 12-inch pan. Serve with whipped cream.
