- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- pinch of soda
- 1 (No. 303) can fruit cocktail
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 c. (packed) light brown sugar
- 1 can coconut
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Sift 1 cup sugar, flour and soda into mixing bowl.

2Add fruit cocktail and juice.

3Add eggs; beat until mixed well.

4Pour into greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan.

5Sprinkle top with brown sugar and pecans.

6Bake in preheated 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Combine remaining sugar with remaining ingredients.

7Boil for 5 minutes.

8Pour over cake as soon as cake is removed from oven.
