  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail and juice
  • 1 c. brown sugar, mixed with 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Beat sugar and egg together.

    Add fruit cocktail and stir until blended.

    Sift flour, soda and salt, blending into fruit mixture.

    Pour into greased 10 x 14-inch sheet pan.

    Sprinkle with brown sugar, mixed with the chopped nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

    Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream. Serves 12 to 15.
