- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 (17 ounce) can canned fruit, drained (reserve syrup)
- 12 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 14 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
- 13 cup milk
- 14 cup nuts, finely chopped
Directions

1Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt in large saucepan.

2Gradually stir in reserved fruit syrup plus enough water to measure 1 1/2 cups liquid.

3Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.

4Boil and stir 1 minute.

5Stir in fruit, lemon peel, lemon juice and cinnamon.

6Keep hot while preparing dumplings.

7Stir remaining ingredients to a soft dough.

8Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto boiling fruit mixture.

9Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes; cover and cook 10 minutes longer.
