  • 1 c. elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 lb. raw beef or cubed cooked beef
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. cubed cheese (optional)

Directions

    Melt butter in frypan at low heat.

    Add macaroni; stir to coat thoroughly with butter.

    Add tomato juice; bring to rapid boil. Stir in beef and onion, salt and pepper.

    Cover; reduce heat to 250° and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Remove cover and sprinkle with cheese.

    Serve with tossed salad.
