- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 c. fruit (apples, pears, cherries, sweetened blackberries, peaches or any fruit desired)
- spices, if desired
Directions

1Melt margarine in a long or square Pyrex dish (1 1/2-quart size); sift the flour together with the sugar and spices.

2Add milk and stir until smooth.

3Pour into melted butter in Pyrex dish, but do not stir.

4Distribute the fruit over top of butter; do not stir.

5Bake for 35 minutes at 375°.
