  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 qt. pecans
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Add 3 cups flour sifted with baking powder and salt. Mix rest of flour with chopped fruit and nuts. Stir into batter and add vanilla. Pour into a tube pan that has been greased and bottom lined with heavy brown paper. Bake at 250° for 3 hours. Let cool in pan.
