- 13 cup chopped onion
- 1 (6 ounce) package long grain and wild rice blend
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 14 cup dried cranberries
- 14 cup chopped dried apricot
- 12 cup toasted pecans
Directions

1Spray small frying pan with nonstick cooking spray, and add chopped onions .

2Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, or until onions begin to brown.

3Place onions,rice mix, chicken broth, dried cranberries, and dried apricots in slow cooker, include the seasonings from the rice package.

4Stir well to dissolve seasonings.

5Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.

6Just before serving sprinkle dish with the 1/2 cup toasted pecans, or other nuts.
