- 3 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. baking cocoa
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Combine sugar, baking cocoa, margarine and evaporated milk in heavy saucepan.

2Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

3Cook, uncovered, to 234° to 240° on candy thermometer, soft ball stage.

4Remove from heat.

5Stir in vanilla; beat until thickened.

6Fold in walnuts.

7Pour into buttered 8-inch square dish.

8Cool.

9Cut into squares.
