  • 2 1/4 c.sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. ice water
  • 3 (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.

    Add melted chocolate squares and blend.

    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.

    Alternate with water.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes in three 8-inch greased and floured pans.
