Ingredients

  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 each eggs
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • Amaretto to taste

Directions

    In a heavy medium saucepan, heat half of the chocolate pieces, the unsweetened chocolate and butter until melted, stirring occasionally.

    Add eggs, sugar, flour, vanilla and baking powder. Beat until thoroughly combined.

    Stir in remaining chocolate pieces and walnuts.

    Drop by rounded 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are firm and surfaces are dull and cracked.

    Cool cookies on a wire rack.

    Makes 3 dozen.
