Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 sq. chocolate
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix all ingredients except vanilla in saucepan.

    Stir over low heat until shortening and chocolate are melted.

    Boil 1 minute or until candy thermometer reads 220°.

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

    Beat until thick enough to spread.
