  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust, unbaked
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. hot water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 small can Pet milk
  • 1 c. pecan halves

    Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 350°.

    In medium saucepan, melt oleo and add cocoa.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Add hot water and stir. With wire whisk, blend in sugar, flour, salt, vanilla and milk. Stir until smooth.

    pour into crust. Bake on preheated cookie sheet for 50 minutes or until set.

    Let cool before serving (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
