- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 1/3 cup butter
- margarine
- 1/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
- 1 cup pecan halves
Directions

1Heat oven to 375F.

2Melt butter over low heat.

3Add cocoa and stir until smooth.

4Remove from heat; cool slightly.

5Stir in sugar, salt, eggs and corn syrup.

6Blend thoroughly.

7Stir in chopped nuts, if desired.

8Pour into unbaked pie shell.

9Place pecan halves over top.

10Bake for 40 minutes.

12Let stand 8 hours before serving.
