  • 5 qt. popped corn
  • 1/2 c. Karo
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • food coloring of your choice to tint

Directions

    Keep popped corn warm in a slow oven (300°).

    Combine sugar, Karo, water, salt and vinegar.

    Cook to 250°; add the vanilla. Pour syrup slowly over warm corn.

    Stir slowly and gently.

    Butter hands and make into balls.

    Wrap in wax paper.
