- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- oil for deep frying
- your favorite flavored syrup
Directions

1Beat eggs in mixing bowl, then mix in milk.

2In separate bowl, sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add dry ingredients to liquid and mix thoroughly.

4Put 2 inches oil in heavy skillet.

5Heat oil until very hot but not smoking.

6Dribble batter into hot oil, moving in circle to build snail-like coil. Fry about 2 minutes on each side, turning once with big spatula. Keep warm in very low oven.

7Makes 6 to 8 cakes.
