- 1 egg, beaten
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oil in electric skillet to 375°.

2Beat milk with egg. Blend dry ingredients and gradually add the milk mixture, beating constantly, until batter is smooth.

3Holding your finger over the bottom of a funnel, fill funnel with batter.

4Holding funnel as near surface of oil as possible, remove finger and drop batter into hot oil, using a circular movement from center outward to form a spiral cake about 3 inches in diameter.

5Fry until puffy and golden brown, turning once.

6Remove and place on paper towels. Sift powdered sugar on top.
