- 2 (4-inch) whole-wheat pita breads
- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 large garlic clove, peeled and halved
- 4 teaspoons grated Parmesan
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Directions

1Position rack about 6 inches from the broiler and preheat broiler.

2With a small knife, cut a slit about 2 inches long in the side of both pitas.

3With your fingers, pry apart the 2 pita halves.

4If the pita is being stubborn, microwave it for about 30 seconds to soften it up.

5Lightly brush the rough side of the 4 pita halves with olive oil and then rub with the garlic clove.

6Cut each pita into quarters.

7Arrange the pitas in a single layer on a cookie sheet.

8Evenly sprinkle the pitas with the Parmesan, salt, paprika, and oregano.

9Place under the broiler and broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
