  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (8-ounce) loaf sourdough French bread

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl.

    Using a serrated knife, cut bread diagonally into 4 equal pieces, cutting to, but not through loaf. Spread butter mixture on cut sides of bread. Wrap loaf in foil.

    Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
