Garlic Grits

  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 2/3 c. instant grits
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 roll garlic cheese, sliced
  • 2 eggs, separated

Directions

    Cook grits in the milk, water and salt.

    Add garlic cheese and oleo; cook gently until cheese is melted.

    Beat egg yolks and blend in hot grits mixture.

    Beat egg whites stiff and fold in. Pour into greased casserole and bake at 375° until brown, about 25 minutes.
