German Cake(Fruit Filled)

- 1 c. margarine
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 can fruit pie filling
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cream together margarine and sugar.

2Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.

3Add flour and salt and blend until well mixed.

4In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch sheet cake pan, spread a little more than 1/2 of batter on bottom of ungreased pan.

5Spread fruit pie filling (I use cherry or blueberry) over top of batter in pan. Drop by spoonfuls the remaining batter onto the pie filling. Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour.

6Top will be light golden brown.

7Test cake with toothpick for doneness.

8Can be served warm and with whipped cream or ice cream.
