German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 egg yolks (reserve whites)
- 2 2/3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
- 1 pkg. grated German sweet chocolate
- 1 small pkg. chocolate bits
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg yolks; beat.

3Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to butter mixture.

4Add vanilla.

5Gradually add milk.

6Beat reserved egg whites; fold into batter.

7Add 1/2 of grated chocolate.

8Pour into large, oblong greased and floured pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).

9Sprinkle chocolate bits over top of cake.

10Bake at 350° for about 50 minutes.

11Remove cake from oven; sprinkle with remaining German chocolate.

12Dust with 10x sugar.
