German Chocolate Pie

- 1/4 c. butter
- 13 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg. Baker's German chocolate
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. pecans
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 to 2 pie shells
Directions

1Melt chocolate with butter over low heat, stirring until blended.

2Remove from heat; gradually blend in milk.

3Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt thoroughly.

4Beat in eggs and vanilla.

5Mix nuts and coconut together.

6Stir half of mixture into batter and pour into pie shell.

7Sprinkle remainder of mixture over filling. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.

8(Filling will be soft, but will set while cooling.)

9Cool at least 4 hours before cutting.
