- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- butter
- shortening
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Separate eggs.

2Put yolks in bowl; add milk and then flour, stirring as flour is added.

3In separate bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until egg whites have peaks.

4Fold into flour mixture.

5Put small amount of butter and shortening in frying pan. When frying pan is hot, ladle in pancake mixture.

6Turn pancake when edges begin to brown.

7Serve with jam, applesauce or fruit compote.
