- 1 (4 oz.) bar Baker's German's sweet chocolate
- 2 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. softened margarine
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 whole eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Melt chocolate over hot water. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir in softened margarine. Add milk and vanilla.

2Mix to dampen flour. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed by mixer. Add eggs, yolk and chocolate. Beat 1 minute longer.

3Grease and flour tube and sides of a 10-inch tube pan.

4Pour batter in pan. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.

5Remove and let cool completely before glazing.
