  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 grated carrot
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

Directions

    Salt and pepper cabbage in a large, covered dish.

    Boil cabbage for 2 minutes; drain.

    Add vinegar, sugar, oil and celery seed.

    Let stand 24 hours.
