German Spinach

Ingredients

  • 1 large pkg fresh spinach or 2 boxes frozen spinach
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • several slices bacon (microwave till crisp)

Directions

    Boil spinach till tender. Saute onion in small amount of butter/margarine. Drain spinach and chop into pieces. Add chopped spinach into onion and simmer for a few minutes.

    Add small amount of milk depending on amount of spinach.
  3. 3
    Add 1 beaten egg, sprinkle Tbsp. flour into spinach and crumbled bacon. Serve warm. From German Pioneers/San Antonio.
