- 2 tablespoons oil
- 10 1/2 ounces French onion soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 -3 slices pumpernickel bread, crumbled
- cooked egg noodles
Directions

1In a large soup pot over medium heat, brown ribs in oil for 6 to 8 minutes; drain. Add soup, water, lemon juice and seasonings; bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in bread and serve over noodles.
