  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. crisp rice cereal
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Line cookie sheets with foil.

    In large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar and butter until fluffy.

    Add oil, eggs and vanilla.

    Beat well.

    Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.

    Add flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.

    Stir in oats, cereal, coconut and chocolate chips.

    Press 1 scant cup dough into 6-inch circle on foil lined cookie sheet.

    Repeat with remaining dough,

    placing cookies 2 1/2 inches apart.

    Bake at 350° for 16 minutes or until golden brown.
