- 3 lb. green apples
- 1/4 c. apple cider
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. minced candied ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 pt. vanilla ice cream (optional)
Directions

1Core apples; cut into eighths.

2Combine apples and cider in medium saucepan.

3Cook covered over medium heat until apples are soft, about 20 minutes.

4Press apples through a food mill; discard skin.

5Stir in sugar, candied ginger and ground ginger.

6Serve warm with ice cream or refrigerate until cold and serve as a snack.
