  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. dark molasses
  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs and molasses.

    Add dry ingredients and mix well.

    Roll into 1 1/2-inch balls.

    Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
