  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp white miso
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 piece (3/4 inch) fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp Japanese soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Directions

    Combine all ingredients and 1 tbsp water in small saucepan. Stir on low heat until sugar dissolves.

    Remove from heat. Strain, discarding solids.
