- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. cloves
- 8 oz. plain yogurt or sour cream
- 1/2 c. oil
- 3 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. pears, peeled and diced
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Sift together flour, soda and spices. In mixing bowl, beat together brown sugar, yogurt, oil, egg and molasses.

3Combine dry ingredients with creamed mixture.

4Fold in pears, raisins and walnuts if desired.

5Pour into buttered muffin tins and bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Makes 12 to 14.
