  • 3/4 c. crisco
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 3 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Cream crisco and sugar; add egg and molasses. Sift remaining ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Flatten with fork on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 - 10 minutes.
