  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. ginger

Directions

    Thoroughly cream Crisco and sugar.

    Add egg and molasses. Beat well.

    Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet, about 2-inches apart. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Cool before removing from pan.

    Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies.
