- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Mix first four ingredients together.

2Sift together and add soda, flour, salt, ginger and cinnamon.

3Chill, if necessary. Roll into balls the size of a walnut.

4Dip top in granulated sugar.

5Place sugared side up on a greased cookie sheet.

6Do not press down.

7Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 4 dozen.
