- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. vinegar
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 tsp. grated ginger root
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar.

2Add eggs, molasses, vinegar and remaining dry ingredients all together.

3Form into balls the size of a walnut.

4Place far apart on cookie sheet to allow for spreading.

5Bake in moderate oven (350°).

6Makes approximately 4 dozen.
