Ingredients

  • 1 qt. olive oil
  • 2/3 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. dry basil or use 4 fresh leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. dry tarragon
  • 1 mint leaf or use dry
  • pinch of nutmeg and paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 Tbsp. A.1. sauce
  • 3/4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 or 6 drops of Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Mix oil and vinegar with a whisk; whisk in egg yolk.
