- 2 lb. carrots
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
- chopped parsley
- water
Directions

1Peel and slice carrots approximately 1/4-inch thick.

2Place carrots in saucepan or straight sided saute pan.

3Add enough water to barely cover carrots.

4Add butter, sugar, salt and nutmeg. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer.

5Stir occasionally.

6Simmer carrots until almost all water has evaporated and carrots are tender.

7Toss carrots to coat with glaze.

8Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
