Glazed Nuts

  • 4 cups nuts
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 ounces butter

    Preheat oven to 300.

    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in sugar.

    Melt butter in a large pat 10x15x1 (I use jelly roll pan).

    Add nuts to egg mix and stir to coat each nut.

    Press into butter and spread one layer thick.

    Bake 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until all butter is absorbed.

    Spread nuts on brown paper to cool.

    Break apart any nuts that are stuck together.

    May be stored for several weeks in a sealed container.
