- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon onions chopped
- 4 tablespoons cauliflower florets grated
- 1 tablespoon green peas
- 1 pinch asafetida
- 1 teaspoon mangos powder
- 1 pinch garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 x pastry dough
Directions

1Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a skillet.

2Saute the cumin seeds until golden.

3Add onion, cauliflower and peas and mix well.

4Mix in asafetida and mango powder, stir.

5Add garam masala, salt and cayenne.

6Cover the pan and cook over a moderate heat for 10 minutes.

7Remove pan from heat and cool.

8Divide mixture into 8 equal portions.

9Take one half-moon of pastry and brush the edges with water.

10Fold into a cone.

11Fill pastry with 1 portion of cauliflower mixture and seal the top.

12Repeat with the rest of the pastry.

13Heat sufficient ghee (or vegetable oil) in a wok or large skillet to deep fry 4 samosas at a time.

14When very hot, deep-fry each samosa for a few minutes, until golden brown, flipping once to cook both sides.

15Drain on paper towels.
