  • 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 5 c. diagonally sliced (1/4-inch) carrots
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley
